The mercerizing treatment of wool takes place in two phases:

• the flakes on the fibers are removed;
• a very thin layer of silicon polymers is applied which softens the fibers permanently.

The result is a very resistant, smooth and soft wool that minimizes friction, pilling and felting. Features
